Hoya compacta inner variegated ‘Mauna Loa’ is a trailing epiphytic hoya distinguished by its tightly curled, rope-like foliage with creamy to yellow variegation concentrated toward the inner margins of each leaf. The variegation contrasts against the darker green outer leaf edges, creating a twisted, braided appearance along the cascading vines. New growth emerges softer in tone before hardening into thick, waxy leaves typical of Hoya compacta. In mature conditions, it can produce clusters of small, star-shaped flowers with a subtle fragrance, emerging from established spurs along the vines.
