Alocasia ‘Bambino’ is a compact cultivar from the Amazonica lineage (A. sanderiana × A. longiloba ‘Watsoniana’), producing narrow, elongated arrowhead leaves and a tight, tidy growth habit that stays small enough for shelves or desks. The pink variegated form is far less common, with irregular splashes of soft pink, creamy white, and pale green over a deep green base. Each leaf emerges differently, and heavily pink foliage requires more attentive care due to its lower vigor, making well-balanced specimens especially sought after by collectors.
Highly variegated leaves are prone to browning and may be more vulnerable during the shipping process. Alocasia grow new leaves and drop older leaves more frequently than other plants.
