Labisia sp. Riau is a rare understory rhizomatous plant from the humid forests of Riau, Sumatra. It forms low, creeping clumps with soft, velvety leaves in deep green to bronze tones, sometimes with a subtle sheen and warm burgundy undersides. Growth is slow and spreading rather than upright, staying close to the substrate. It prefers warm, stable conditions with high humidity, low to medium indirect light, and a consistently moist but airy, well-draining mix. It dislikes drying out or sudden environmental shifts and thrives best in a steady, shaded terrarium-style setup.
