Philodendron ‘Florida Beauty’ is a chimeric variegated form of the classic Philodendron Florida hybrid, originally created in the 1950s by Robert McColley from a cross between Philodendron squamiferum and Philodendron pedatum. It features deeply lobed, oak-like leaves with a medium to deep green base and cream to yellow variegation expressed as marbling, splashes, or sectoral patches, with each leaf developing a unique pattern. As it matures, the foliage becomes larger and more defined, especially when grown on a support, while the plant maintains a vigorous climbing habit and may show the lightly hairy, reddish petioles inherited from its squamiferum parent.

Highly variegated leaves are prone to browning and may be more vulnerable during the shipping process.
