DESCRIPTION:

Monstera is a genus of tropical climbing plants native to the rainforests of Central and South America, where they grow under the canopy and climb trees in search of light. Known for their dramatic split or fenestrated leaves, Monstera are fast-growing and adaptable, making them a striking and easy-care choice for indoor collectors.

Monstera obliqua 'Amazonas' is a rare form native to the Amazon basin, known for its long, narrow leaves with multiple large fenestrations per leaf. Unlike the ultra-thin, delicate foliage of 'Peru', this form offers a bolder structure while still showcasing the intricate beauty of the obliqua species. Grown from our in-house collection, it’s a fascinating addition for collectors exploring the diversity within the obliqua complex.

OPTIMAL CONDITIONS

🌞 LIGHT: Prefers moderate, indirect light throughout the day. East-facing windows or bright rooms with diffused light work best.

💦 HUMIDITY: Prefers humidity levels around 60–70%, similar to conditions in our nursery. Performs well in homes with a humidifier, grouped plants, or naturally higher humidity environments.

💧 WATER: Water when the soil is about halfway dry. Performs best in a chunky, well-aerated mix that balances moisture and drainage.

🐈 PET SAFE: No
