Hoya carnosa ‘Argentea Princess’ by Kunzo is a rare and highly collected cultivar of Hoya carnosa, known for its silvery variegation and compact vining habit. This clone comes from Kunzo Nishihata, a Japanese horticulturist known globally in the rare plant world for cultivating and stabilizing unique tropical plants.
The thick, waxy leaves have a medium green base with soft white to silvery variegation in marbled splashes or irregular patterns. Juvenile growth may show lighter variegation and subtle pink tones that become more defined with maturity.
It grows as a climber or trailer and thrives in bright, indirect light with warm temperatures, moderate to high humidity, and well-draining soil. Providing support or hanging placement encourages fuller growth and allows variegation to develop more evenly. Under ideal conditions, it may produce fragrant, star-shaped flowers.
