Kaempferia galanga Variegated is a low-growing ginger grown for its rounded, ground-hugging leaves accented with irregular creamy white to pale yellow sectoral marbling. The broad, smooth foliage spreads horizontally from underground rhizomes, creating a compact, tidy rosette. Under filtered light and warm temperatures, the bright variegation stands out clearly against the rich green lamina. Keep in bright indirect light and maintain consistent moisture in a loose, well-draining soil mix during the active growing season.
NOTE
Kaempferia naturally enter a seasonal dormancy period where the foliage dies back to the rhizome before re-emerging in the spring. Highly variegated foliage may be delicate and more prone to browning or transit wear.
Highly variegated leaves are prone to browning and may be more vulnerable during the shipping process. Alocasia grow new leaves and drop older leaves more frequently than other plants.
